A 2 day Navigation Course based in the South Lake District

On this course we will cover all the basic map reading and navigation skills, as well as the more detailed and intricate ways of navigating.  This is a comprehensive course and you should leave the course feeling as though you have all the skills there to head out into the unpathed territory of the hills and practise your Navigation with confidence.

We will look at: Route planning, route finding, paths, contour features, compass bearings, different navigation techniques and strategies, different maps, Gps, timing, pacing and more!

The exact location of the course will be decided nearer the time, but will be within 30 minutes of Stavely. You will need to bring suitable clothing, shoes and food for a whole day on the hill.

Coronavirus protocols and precautions will be taken and followed.

Accomodation is not included.

Suitable for all experience levels - don't worry if you're a beginner! The course can be tailored to suit different experience levels.
