Navigation Course, Snowdonia

A 2 day Navigation Course based in Snowdonia.

On this course we will cover all the basic map reading and navigation skills, as well as the more detailed and intricate ways of navigating.  This is a comprehensive course and you should leave feeling as though you have all the skills there to head out into the unpathed territory of the hills and practise your Navigation with confidence.

We will look at: Route planning, route finding, paths, contour features, compass bearings, different navigation techniques and strategies, different maps, Gps, timing, pacing and more!

You will need to bring suitable clothing, shoes and food for a whole day on the hill. If you are unsure what to bring, here is a Kit List:

Plan

We will meet at 9am at Caffi Caban - a lovely cafe in a village called Brynrefail - a 3 minute drive from Llanberis. There, we can grab a brew and have a chat before heading out into the hills for the day. Each day will start and finish at 9am and around 5pm. 

Suitable for all experience levels - don't worry if you're a beginner! The course can be tailored to suit different experience levels.
