A 2 day course for Trad climbers focusing on problem solving and crag rescues. The course covers:
- Helping a stuck climber
- Basic problem solving (stuck karabiner/belay plate)
- Escaping the system
- Crag evacuation
- Assisted abseils
- Rope retreival
- Ascending a rope
- Any other questions you may have!
The course will be run outside if possible, but if the weather is poor, we will move to an indoor wall with the facilities to practise problem solving and recues. To get the most out of this course, you should already be able to lead trad climbs, but there is no need to lead a particular grade! Even if you are leading Moderate routes, learning how to protect yourslef and your climbing partners is crucial! If coming to the course with a freind/climbing partner, only 1 of you needs to be able to lead climb, not both of you.
Get in touch if you have any questions.
