About the Event

Learn the key skills needed to get yourself and your climbing partner out of trouble whilst out on the rock. 

How to avoid problems and how to solve them should they arise.

A 2 day course for Trad climbers focusing on problem solving and crag rescues. The course covers:

- Helping a stuck climber

- Basic problem solving (stuck karabiner/belay plate)

- Hoists

- Escaping the system

- Crag evacuation

- Assisted abseils

- Rope retreival 

- Ascending a rope

- Any other questions you may have!

The course will be run outside if possible, but if the weather is poor, we will move to an indoor wall with the facilities to practise problem solving and recues. 

To get the most out of this course, you should already be able to lead trad climbing routes. If you are coming with a climbing partner, only one of the pair needs to be able to lead.
